Crystal Bell

Dear Friends and Family,

I am writing to you on behalf of my sister-in-law, Jane and our family. My name is Crystal Massey Bell. To eliminate any confusion, Jane’s legal name is also Crystal Bell, actually Crystal “Jane” Bell and she is known as Jane.

Jane is thirty-three-years young, a beautiful, courageous woman, with immeasurable faith. She is the strongest person I have ever known. She has been sick for most of her life, yet she still finds the strength and courage to view her unpredictable journey as a gift! When able, she enjoys volunteering with The American Red Cross, American Cancer Society and The National Kidney Foundation.

Jane had her first kidney transplant in June 2003. Unfortunately she lost this kidney about seven years ago to an undiagnosed case of Addison’s disease. Jane has been on dialysis for two years as she awaits a second life-saving kidney transplant which is her only chance at a normal life.

Even with insurance, Jane will have many uninsured, transplant-related expenses such as: co-pays and deductibles, doctor visits, travel to the transplant center and the costly immunosuppressant medications that she will need to take for the rest of her life. This presents a challenge Jane cannot meet alone.

To help offset her uninsured costs, a fundraising campaign in Crystal’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive (formerly NTAF), a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for nearly 30 years. All contributions are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Southeast Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only.
