We invite you to join with friends and family who have come together to raise money to help pay for uninsured medical expenses associated with my sweetheart Bonnie’s upcoming kidney transplant.
Bonnie’s kidney failure is caused by Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) and a transplant is desparately needed to save her life. Both Bonnie’s mother and aunt died from PKD and her two siblings have also inherited this disease, for which there is no treatment or cure.
My beloved wife Bonnie’s kidney failure has left her with little energy to enjoy the things she used to love --- gardening, hiking, visiting friends, traveling and pursuing her career in photography. With your help, and hopefully, a successful pre-emptive living donor transplant, she will once again enjoy life to the fullest and allow us to dream of our future, together.
We are praying for a living donor transplant so that she can bypass grueling dialysis treatments altogether. Kidney transplantation is life-saving but extremely costly with many expenses not covered by insurance. Bonnie will be in need of ongoing care and medications for the rest of her life. Because we cannot meet these enormous financial challenges alone, we invite you to help us.
A fundraising campaign in Bonnie’s honor has been established with NTAF, which has received at least 7 consecutive 4-star evaluations from Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent evaluator of charities. Only 2% of all the charities rated by Charity Navigator have accomplished this same feat.
