We would like to take a moment to tell you about an amazing woman who is the epitome of grace and who inspires all around her to live life with a positive outlook even during the most difficult of times. Linda lives in
Linda has the heart of a servant and a work ethic that goes far beyond what words can describe. She worked as a loan officer for Kiel Mortgage for seven years, during which time she never wanted the company to be impacted by her condition. Often times she would go to chemotherapy in the morning and then return to her desk later in the afternoon without a complaint. Linda has an incredible ability to take the focus off of herself and put it onto those that she loves and cares for; which include her family and co-workers. She has been married for 44 years and is a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend! It is a testament to Linda’s character that so many family, friends and co-workers have stepped forward to be tested in order to see if they can be her marrow donor.
Because of the extraordinary expense of transplantation, funding this life-saving operation is a monumental task. Even with medical insurance, there are numerous uncovered medical expenses such as donor testing, health care deductibles and prescriptions that present a financial challenge. Linda would never ask or expect help but we do believe that good things should happen to good people and Linda is truly someone who deserves this chance for a long and healthy life.
To help offset Linda’s uninsured costs, family and friends have started a fundraising campaign through the National Transplant Assistance Fund (NTAF). NTAF is a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for over twenty-five years. All contributions are administered by NTAF exclusively for uninsured transplant-related expenses. Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Please help us to give back to a woman who so freely gives to everyone else.
