NBC 10 Philadelphia recently featured NTAF board member Lauren DeBruicker, a member of The Magee Eagles wheelchair rugby team. DeBruicker sustained a spinal cord injury in an automobile accident 19 years ago. She began playing wheelchair rugby (a.k.a quad rugby or murderball) about a year ago. The Magee Eagles recently played Rowan University’s able-bodied rugby team in a demonstration game.

Way to Go Dave!
Dave Denniston will represent the United States as a co-captain for the U.S. Paralympic Swim Team at the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing this September.
Dave returns to the sport, just a few years following a sledding accident that rendered him paralyzed from the waist down. Prior to his injury, Dave was a competitive able-bodied swimmer, who came just shy of qualifying for the 2004 Olympic Games.
