We have all seen the headlines:
rising health care costs ... reduced insurance coverage ... soaring joblessness.
Understandably, the number of patients and families seeking NTAF assistance has skyrocketed – more than doubling in the last five years. Even for those who have insurance (like the majority of our fundraising patients), affording the uninsured medical expenses related to a transplant or catastrophic injury (spinal cord and/or traumatic brain) can be a monumental undertaking.
NTAF helps shoulder the financial burden for affected patients and families – providing fundraising guidance and patient support, as well as financial and other resources.
To date, NTAF has helped nearly 5,000 patients and families nationwide – disbursing more than $60 million for out-of-pocket medical and related expenses.
