LOCAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE NAMES NTAF
‘NONPROFIT BUSINESS OF THE YEAR’
The award recognizes a nonprofit business (who must be a Chamber member) that exemplifies the following: has grown or expanded; received local, state, professional, trade or other recognition; uses innovative approaches to product or service; been involved in professional, business or trade associations; has demonstrated community involvement through the use of personnel and/or financial resources in one ore more Main Line communities; and exhibits entrepreneurial spirit.
“NTAF is a model as a nonprofit agency,” said R. Stanley Schuck, MLCC President and CEO, “being active and positively engaged in the local business community. They currently participate in our Non-profit Roundtable and our Leadership Main Line Program. In addition, NTAF was a sponsor for our Network at Noon, a highly-powered monthly networking event. Most local nonprofits could learn about engaging with the business community by watching the success of NTAF.”

Also at the event, NTAF Executive Director Lynne Coughlin Samson, Esq., graduated with the Class of 2008 from the Leadership Main Line Program. Samson was selected from other area nonprofit leaders to participate in the program, an intensive six-month curriculum that involves participants in learning experiences designed to enhance the infrastructure of the Main Line. Samson was able to participate in the program thanks to an anonymous benefactor who paid for her tuition.
NTAF was a finalist for the MLCC ‘Nonprofit Business of the Year’ Award in 2007 – for which NTAF also received an award.
