On the evening of May 2, 2011, the National Kidney Registry (NKR) held its Third Annual Awards Reception at the Philadelphia Marriot Downtown in Philadelphia, Pa. Guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres as NKR honored the achievements of the American transplant community with awards.
NTAF received the award for 'Nonprofit of the Year' for 'performing exemplary work on behalf of those in need of a transplant and for the transplant community in general.'Total NTAF assistance for transplant patients in Fiscal Year 2010: more than $3.2 million, thanks to community-based fundraising.
