Your financial support of our work and mission in Fiscal Year 2016 did some incredible things.
Your donations from Oct.1, 2015 to Sept. 30, 2016 helped us:
Launch 732 new medical fundraising campaigns, supporting the needs of 3,290 campaigns nationwide.
Rally thousands of community volunteers to help raise more than $11.6 million to cover vital out-of-pocket medical and related expenses.
Provide more than $9.3 million to meet the uninsured needs of 1,400 patients and families facing the most difficult challenge of their lives: a lifesaving transplant or a life-changing catastrophic injury or illness.
But you didn’t stop there…
You also helped:
Crush 4,942 medical fundraising goals.
Plan 550 gatherings of hope.
Inspire 2,451 words of gratitude.
Provide 57 emergency needs funds to help families avoid an immediate medical crisis.
Honor 25 loved ones’ legacies.
Families across the country felt the tangible impact.
16 Help Hope Live patients reported finding a “new normal” after a devastating medical crisis altered their lives.
10 patients reached a major independence milestone after a catastrophic injury, from going to college to driving and living independently.
To us, these aren’t just numbers. They are symbols of hope in the midst of extremely challenging circumstances.
You are telling someone: “You matter. Your voice is heard. Your story is my story, too.”
That’s what it really means to Help Hope Live. Never stop: the world needs you, and so do we.
We Apply Your Donations Responsibly
In 2016, Help Hope Live earned its 13th consecutive 4-star evaluation from Charity Navigator for our financial health and commitment to accountability and transparency. Less than 1% of all charities evaluated have earned this esteemed distinction, "indicating that Help Hope Live outperforms most other charities in America."
Meet Matt Collura. Matt sustained a traumatic brain injury in a snowboarding accident in 2011. Today, his community continues to fundraise for the Help Hope Live Mid-Atlantic Traumatic Brain Injury Fund to help offset related expenses.
"For the past four weeks, Matt has been doing exercises as it is still difficult for him to take a step without using a handle or cane. Today, he took three steps with no assistance except for the Solo-Step harness! He would never have been able to do this without all of your support. So grateful for a son who never quits and a community who continues to support him.” #hopeis
